Abstract

This study aims to determine the classification of economic sector growth in Sigi Regency, to know and analyze the base sector and leading sectors that have the potential to be developed, to determine the export potential of each leading sector, and to determine repositioning and shifting. economic sector in Sigi Regency. This research uses a quantitative descriptive approach. Klassen Typology analysis shows that the advanced and rapidly growing sectors are the financial and insurance services sector, the real estate sector, the education services sector, and the health services and social activities sector. The Location Quotient shows that there are seven base sectors in Sigi Regency; agriculture, forestry and fishery sector, wholesale and retail trade sector; car and motorcycle repair, as well as the financial services and insurance sector. The Dynamic Location Quotient shows that the seven basic sectors produced by the Location Quotient analysis can still be expected to become leading sectors in the future. The results of the analysis of the largest export potential are the agricultural, forestry and fisheries sectors. Shift Share analysis shows that the agriculture, forestry and fishery sectors have a competitive advantage and Sigi District specializes in the agricultural, forestry and fishery sectors.
